2fawcett are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a company located in Castle Donnington on a Permanent Basis.
Working for this global manufacturer with over half a century of experience they are a market leader in their industry! Reporting directly into the finance manager you will be working for a very well-respected employer within a well-established team.
To support the Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Department together with offering any support to the other team members.
The Role & Responsibilities of Assistant Accountant
Purchase Ledger
· Post purchase invoices and staff expense
· Code and check invoices
· Check and reconcile supplier statements
· File invoices and statements
· Deal with purchase enquiries from suppliers and other departments
· Send reminder deadline for payment run
· Prepare payment run report
· Send remittance advice to supplier
· Verify supplier/customer/employee master
Management account support
· Posting prepayment & accrual
· Carry out month end tasks including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Other tasks (but not exclusive)
· Support the internal and external audit by providing information requested
· Other ad-hoc tasks, reporting and projects to assist Assistant Managers and Head of Finance
Requirements of Assistant Accountant
· Excellent communication skills and organisational skills and be able to manage a busy workload independently
· Highly competent in analysis and interpretation of information.
· Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy
· Experience of within a similar role
· AAT qualified or currently studying
