We offer over 21,000 products from leading manufactures via our website and via our 28 stores across the country.
In July 2017, we successfully floated on the London Stock Exchangeβs Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and we are investing the funds raised in opening new stores, extending our online operations and increasing our sales in Europe. This is an exciting time for the Company and we are seeking skilled, creative and enthusiastic individuals to help us attain our goals.
Role:
Warehouses deliveries and distribution are a vital part of our supply chain. Working as part of a busy team, this position is likely to do a variety of jobs, such as picking, packing goods for customer delivery and transfer, booking items in on the management system and ensuring we meet our delivery commitments and targets. The role will work on a 2 week working shift pattern (Week 1: 06:00 β 14:00 / Week 2 14:00 β 22:00).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and dispatch daily orders
- Operating Kardex (our automated storage solution)
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile via our digital system so that it can be located quickly.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand and truck.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage or distribution.
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage space β using loading and lifting gear for heavy goods.
- Moving and rearranging stock to ensure that products are stored safely and labeled correctly and safely.
- Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing.
- Organising all packed goods and loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Cleaning and maintaining the work area will also be part of the daily routine.
- Assist other areas in the warehouse as and when required
- Following workplace health and safety rules will be essential.
Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Health and safety knowledge
- Comfortable working with automation
- Good Computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Good organisation
- FLT/Flexi licence beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of angling beneficial but not essential
