Ashton Recruitment requires a Park Warden for our client based in Belfast.
Position: Park Warden
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary
Rate of pay: £12.70 per hour.
Hours: 37 per week, 7.30am-6.30pm
Duties include (but are not limited to):
1. To undertake the full range of duties powers in relation to anti-social behaviour, including:
Regular walkabouts or patrols in parks, cemeteries, allotments etc to identify problems and enforce relevant by-laws or legislation relating to antisocial behaviour. This will include, but is not restricted to:
-Drinking, littering, graffiti in parks and open spaces.
-Dumping/fly tipping.
-Dog fouling.
2. To patrol and clock in at designated sites and maintain orderly conduct of the public ensuring general safety; to give guidance and deal with any complaints in relation to the relevant sites.
3. To prepare and compile reports in relation to all aspects of the post.
4. To lift litter, waste, rubbish and hazardous materials such as glass bottles, dog fouling etc and ensure that all such materials are disposed of appropriately.
5. To examine vandalised areas ensuring as much as possible that the vandalised area is made safe and to also furnish reports on observations and the actions taken.
Essential Criteria:
· Full UK driving license.
· At least one years’ relevant experience in each of the following three areas:
-dealing effectively with members of the public in a face-to-face environment.
-working within a security role, for example, opening/closing facilities, carrying out patrols, setting alarms, recording and reporting incidents and working with other statutory bodies, for example, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI); and
-working in an enforcement or legislative role, for example, dog control orders, litter code and, or alcohol enforcement.

· At least 2 years relevant experience
