What you need to know about the role
We’re looking for Electrical Team Members on both days and shifts to support within both the manufacturing and workshop areas at our Special Profiles Business in Skinningrove. You will work to achieve plant operational/workshop targets, product quality, customer service and health and safety objectives.
Day craft salary is £37,777 inclusive of shift allowance (increasing to £40,296 in Aug 2023). Suitable candidates have the opportunity of moving to 21-shift positions of £42,705 inclusive of shift allowance (increasing to £45,552 in Aug 2023).
You will be part of a multi-disciplined team, ensuring the most effective engineering service is provided to our manufacturing customers.
Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.
The role will see you record details of your work activities, using the appropriate information systems.

What we need to know about you
To be considered for this position you must be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or have served a recognised apprenticeship*.
Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial or heavy engineering environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
Knowledge of steelmaking the process would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided.
*Certificate evidence will be required
