Why this job matters The Contract Specialist executes a range of workstreams in delivering large and complex commercial and contract processes, managing and monitoring major deals across the BT Group's services and product portfolio, managing risk and controlling cost. What you’ll be doing 1. Drives successful outcomes through partnering alongside customers and sales teams on contracts.
2. Manages the P&L for specific contract sizes featuring a significant amount of complexity
3. Identifies and manages risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns.
4. Leads stakeholders in the resolution of high-risk contact related issues and challenges.
5. Contributes to and influences growth opportunities through effective contract management and contract quality management..
6. Contributes to structure development for large, complex opportunities.
7. Mentors other professionals in team, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
8. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in the commercial environment. The skills you’ll need Contract Management Relationship Building P&L Risk Management Commercial Strategy What we'd also want to see from you

• Experience of working on government contracts is desirable.
• If successful, you must be willing to undergo Government Security Clearance to SC and NPPV3 level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
