Healthcare Assistant - Medical Ward (Hospital experience needed) Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU Permanent £23,135 - £28,919 + fantastic benefits Role Overview As a Health Care Assistant you’ll work as part of a close-knit team providing excellent patient focused care within the 33-bed medical ward which consists of both Neuro and Cardiac patients. You’ll be a caring and compassionate Health Care Assistant , delivering a high standard of care to our patients. We value all our people and will provide you support and a great place to work. • You will be prioritizing patient care needs and complete a comprehensive assessment and escalate accordingly.
• You will be carrying out heights and weights on patient arrival as well as maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Assisting co-coordinating a busy department.
• You will be screening patients upon their arrival.
• Adhering to the hospitals infection control measures and promoting these within the team.
• In addition to this you will attend study days and adhere to 100% compliance of Cromwell Hospital mandatory training timescales.
• You will be supporting the consultants in collaboration with the nurses.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant (essential)
• Hold an NVQ in health and social care
• Hold the Care Certificate Qualification or willing to complete the training
• Basic Life Support Trained (desirable)
• Have a desire to develop both professionally and personally
• NVQ Level 2 (Direct Patient Care) or equivalent
• Excellent team player
• Understanding of safeguarding best practice and awareness of relevant child protection legislation
