A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the country’s leading fire and rescue services; to become part of a team where everyone plays their part in making West Yorkshire Safer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train our Firefighters to external and internal driving standards and support them in arriving at incidents safely and make a difference to your community. We will provide full training and development in emergency response instructing and other specialist vehicles to take your career to next level. Whilst not essential, previous emergency response driving or instructor experience would be advantageous. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years LGV (Category C) driving experience and possess excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge. Joining a first-rate organisation, you will have the job satisfaction of knowing each day that you are contributing to the success of one of just six metropolitan fire and rescue services in the UK, supporting over 950 firefighters who work round the clock to help people and save lives. The post is subject to the possession of a full current valid car driving licence. We offer an excellent package, including Local Government Pension Scheme, free parking, 37 hour flexible working week, an employee assistance programme, full training and development, sports and social clubs with free use of gym.
