As an Assistant Category Merchandiser within Mobile, you’ll be working with one of our most exciting categories. Our Merchandising teams help our categories hit targets by building relationships with suppliers and monitoring performance. You’ll be at the heart of our success, helping our Category Merchandiser to deliver category performance. It’s an environment that’s packed full of opportunities, which means you can build the future you want.
To support your development, you’ll have an opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship in Buying & Merchandising! You'll be able to start your apprenticeship within 3 months of joining the team (subject to eligibility).
As part of this role, you’ll:
- Build close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
- Step up and take responsibility for achieving all key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin and markdown)
- Review sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and market trends
- Monitor weekly performance and make recommendations to ensure that we implement in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate
You’ll need:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning or similar
- Experience of business objects
- Strong numerical, analytical skills, and communication skills
