Position Overview & Specifications
I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Sandwell who are looking for an experienced Senior Contracts and Procurement Officer for 12 weeks initially.
The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £550 Umbrella per hour. The role is in scope of IR35.
Duties and Responsibilities
Are you an expert in leading and managing complex and strategic local procurement projects to ensure effective delivery in line with legislation and timescales. Then we want to hear from you.
Based in the finance directorate of Sandwell Council, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic procurement and contracting professional to join our Independent Sector Management Team to support procurement and contract activity for Adult Social Care and Public Health.
Working closely with commissioners, the Independent Sector Management Team manages all of the Adult Social Care and Public Health contracting and procurement activity contributing to the successful delivery of great care and health services to the local community.
Be qualified to degree level or hold a recognised relevant qualification in contracting and or Commissioning at diploma level eg Chartered Institute
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years' experience of undertaking procurement and commissioning activities.
- At least two years' experience of using standing orders and financial regulations within a statutory organisation.
- At least two years' experience of contract management.
