Key Focus
Electric Group is a fast growing and privately owned music venues group. We own and operate some of the UK's most iconic music and club venues including Electric Brixton, SWX Bristol and NX Newcastle.
We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work in our busy Head Office to support the Head of Finance. The role is involved in transactional processing, supplier payment runs, supplier and customer management, balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
· Coding and processing of invoices for approval in a timely manner
· Manage efficient workflow of invoices in online system
· Deal with supplier queries by telephone and email
· Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate supplier payment runs within agreed payment terms
· Undertake supplier reconciliations.
· Post bank entries on a regular basis to the general ledger
· Process staff expenses in line with policy, ensuring accurate coding and VAT treatment
· Raising and chasing of customer invoices
· Ensuring prompt payment by customers
· Transactional processing and inputting into QuickBooks
· Working to tight deadlines around month-end to enable prompt closure of monthly reporting
· Preparation and processing of month-end journals
· Providing ad-hoc financial analysis
· Preparation of monthly nominal ledger reconciliations / analysis
· Opening post daily and distributing it to relevant addressees
· Processing weekly trade report information including expenses
· Weekly postings of ticketing income
· Update events schedule on a weekly basis
Required Qualifications, Qualities & Experience
· Previous QuickBooks Online experience preferable
· AAT qualifications or equivalent
· 2+ years’ experience
· Must be a self-starter
· Meticulous with a real eye for detail
· Proactive individual who can deal with issues and resolve problems
· Demonstrable IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook etc
· Intermediate Excel skills would be favourable.
