We are seeking talented and caring individuals looking to begin or continue their career in Social Care with us, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Peacock Medicare Ltd. Peacock Medicare Ltd have been providing high quality care to older people for over 30 years in West Lothian and Elsie Inglis Nursing Home in Edinburgh.
About Elsie Care Home
Elsie Inglis is set within the original Elsie Inglis Memorial Maternity Hospital (EIMHH), from which it now takes its name. The home is situated on the very edge of Holyrood Park, with panoramic views of Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags with private access to the many paths and features of the Royal Park.
The home is a completely new, fully refurbished entity, providing 49 premium rooms with full shower en-suites and includes everything associated with a modern, fully compliant care home.
Under new management the home has recently opened, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the team at the beginning of the new Elsie Inglis journey.

We have number of opportunities for an experienced Activities Coordinator as well as for individuals who are looking for a career change to join our team. We have vacancies available with following shift times.
Day shift: 0900 – 1700hrs
Main roles and responsibilities
As an Activities Coordinator in our home, you will help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents. You will be computer literate and able to create community links and showcase our Home. In addition, you will help to devise imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability. An extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities Coordinator will be spent getting to know our residents and their families before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone’s wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
Requirements
You will need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities Coordinator. Your organizational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn’t essential –you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.
