What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. All what we expect from you is

• Ideally you are driver and must hold the UK driving licence as you will be using the company vehicle to escort the staff and service users to the local destinations. This is to accommodate the needs of our service users in the most efficient manner.
• The ability to show strong empathy, a caring and compassionate nature
• Willing to support the resident with the personal hygiene
• People skills, communication skills and a good sense of humour
• Willingness to deal with the challenging behaviour
• A positive & professional approach

• You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student Visa's cannot be accepted.

Where you will be working

Location: Dyke Road Avenue, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 5LE

You will be working at Dane House, an immaculate, new six bed service for people with learning disability and/or with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. It boasts a range of communal amenities including sensory facilities and a large garden.

You will be caring for people who may have transitioned from residential schools or colleges, moved out of the family home or who need to move from a failed placement in the community.

Dane House is within easy distance of local shops, leisure facilities, churches and cafes, and is just 3 miles from the centre of Brighton. Brighton has excellent transportation links across Sussex and the south coast and London is just an hour away by train.
