Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role. The team As an organisation we have an ambition to be Carbon Net Zero by 2030 and this will influence how we do things in the future.
Asset Performance Teams manage flood and coastal erosion risk assets to reduce the impact of flooding. We do this by managing the whole lifecycle of our assets, including the effects of climate change through planning, delivery, maintenance and decommissioning. Experience/skills required As a senior member of the team, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and help develop other members of the team to deliver asset management activities. You will help develop technical resilience and rise to the challenge of the Environment Agency becoming leading asset managers.
Formal qualifications or experience, in civil engineering, asset management or similar are essential. You will be expected to solve asset management problems and understand engineering reports and use them to inform outcomes. Please do not be deterred from applying if you don’t have a degree - we also value practical experience in the water or asset management environment.

The annual salary for this role is £37,462.
Your office base will be Ceres House, Lincoln. Interview and assessment will be week commencing 15th of May 2023.
