The Gables, Braintree, Essex
Standard working hours 37.5 per week
Service is operational 9am-5pm Monday-Friday
As a Peer Support Worker, you will use your lived experience of mental health difficulties to support others with their recovery and access to the community.
UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role
The main purpose of this role is to support service users to establish greater control over their lives, helping to identify aspects of life that give meaning, hope, value and purpose whilst recognizing that each individual’s recovery is a distinctive and deeply personal process.
As an integral and valued member of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team working in Essex, you will provide support to individuals within the service by role modelling and using your lived experience to support service users and guide the service in being more person centred.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
