Brief overview
We are looking for Kensington and Chelsea borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 42 months working as an Electrical Apprentice as part of the CITB Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while earning a wage, gaining work experience, and a qualification.

Β£4.81 to Β£9.50 (National Minimum Wage for their age)

- Working week
Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option. Minimum of 35 hours per week but potential for more. Approx. 8am-4pm but hours will be confirmed by contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interview.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Level 3 Installation Electricians install electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and domestic environments, both indoor and outdoor. Electrical equipment and systems may include switchboards, motors, cables, fuses, thermal relays, fault current protection switches, heating, lighting, air conditioning and metering equipment as well as crime and fire alarm systems and renewable energy technologies.
- Assist with unloading and moving of deliveries / systems on site
- Keep site tidy and safe in line with company health and safety policy
- Assisting with the installation of cables, switchboards, lighting, and heating / cooling
- Assisting with fault finding and testing, and checking of electrical systems
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you would be working to is the Level 3 Electrical Installation (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with MIT Skills to provide the training.
This training will mainly be through remote learning with a paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 day per week. You are expected to travel when necessary though most assessments will be done on site. You will be responsible to managing/arranging with your line manager.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Junior Electrician where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or Electrical business owner.
You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 3 qualification
