Position Overview & Specifications
Hay Farms is a family run business producing chickens for major UK retailers with over 25 years experience in this area of agriculture and we are looking for a new member of staff to join existing team in West Yorkshire.
Is this for you - No previous experience is necessary as our training programme is designed to take you from no knowledge to capable of running a farm within a year (and if you take a bit longer, that's fine too). You'll learn the skills of stockman ship, how to treat the birds, how to run the houses and how to manage your own site.
We need staff members who recognise farming is a lifestyle and not always 9 to 5 job role, who can be flexible with their working hours and plan their time to mean the job gets done.
Package includes - onsite housing with gas/electric, council tax and water bills paid for as you must live close to or on the farm, this is important as we want you to enjoy the job and learn the skills to set you up for a lifetime career in an interesting, exciting and expanding industry.
