Position Overview & Specifications
As one of the leading commercial and military boat yards in the UK specialising in the new build, refit & repair of small craft up to 24m we require a Project Manager to join our team.
Holyhead Marine havebuilt up a wide ranging portfolio of vessel designs to meet the needs of their commercial and military client base. They are a long established company and are situated in Holyhead on Anglesey, North Wales.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing both new build and refit / repair projects and will be involved from developing proposals through to the delivery and hand over of a completed project.
The Project Manager responsibilities and personal qualities are as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers, statutory authorities, surveyors, agents, suppliers, sub-contractors, etc,
- Manage resources to successfully complete projects on time and within budgets whilst maintaining safety and quality standards,
- Monitor progress and report,
- Manage tests and trials
- Develop and maintain systems to control projects.
Personal qualities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of small craft design and construction with either a production background or an appropriate degree qualification
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Positive and organised approach
- Self-motivated and flexible.
Applicants will be degree qualified in marine engineering / naval architecture or similar.
