Position Overview & Specifications
We are seeking an IT Support Technician, to join our close-knit, friendly IT team in Northampton.
This role is a full time office based role but we do understand that flexibility is essential for a good work life balance.
You will be responsible for providing second line IT support and to assist in resolving day to day IT problems/queries in order to ensure that smooth running of the IT systems takes place at all times.
Some of these duties will include:
- To log and maintain calls with both software and hardware maintenance providers ensuring that the calls are responded to within SLAs
- To be involved in the firm’s new starters and leavers processes ensuring that the procedures for managing these is comprehensive and carried out to the full
- Coordinate IT business information/activity including interpretation of technical documentation
- Produce good quality documentation and written reports, e.g. how-to guides
- To assist in the implementation of new software packages
- PC and laptop builds

- Helpdesk experience is essential
- Working knowledge of using Helpdesk logging software
