Trainee IT Support Technician

This developmental role will be engaged with all areas of IT on site, as detailed (but not limited only to) the key objectives below.

Key Objectives

• Provide 1st & 2nd level IT support for Telford IT systems, liaising with the local team for Telford IT projects.
• Hardware upgrades for out-of-support desktops, laptops & mobile devices.
• Knowledge development of location's ERP system. Progression to deliver 1st level application/user support.
• Work within the guidelines of the IT ASAT compliance and participate in the assessment process when required.
• Maintain effective working relationship with other HFS/IT teams, including participation in European Daily Management meetings.
• Utilize available tools to help improve location performance (Power BI, Power Apps, Solar Winds etc).
• Follow-up & escalation of site IT issues with the European Customer Service Coordinator.
• Occasional IT cover may be required to HFS Redditch & Leicester locations.

Technical skills / Educational background/Relevant experience

• Microsoft Office 365 & Windows experience.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently & as a team.
• Enthusiasm for learning to work in a large company within an international environment.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Power Apps (although this is not essential)

IT-related NVQ/degree or s imilar qualification is preferable.
