The Operations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the operational flying programme and coordinating support from all teams ensuring we are operating safely and in accordance with all Company and statutory requirements. This role plays a vital role in the achievement of Jet2.comβs βOn Time Performanceβ targets.You will provide support to all flying operations with particular attention to weather, aircraft serviceability, crewing status and other potential issues that may have an adverse impact. You will maintain a flight watch of all Company flights and ensure accurate tracking of each aircraft as well as ensuring all flight information is completed and correctly entered and distributed as required.
The Operations Control Centre (OCC) operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and this role is predominantly a 4 on, 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) 12 hour shift pattern working in our Operations Control Department.
In this role no day or night is the same due operational challenges, but you will find a great sense of achievement overcoming these as part of a great team. To overcome these, you will need to think outside of the box but also follow company procedures and policies to ensure the safety of colleagues, customers, and company assets.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within an airline operations environment. Any experience within Ground Operations, Passenger Handling, and flying would be an advantage. Experience as a supervisor or manager in a customer facing or non-airline operational role would also be considered. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of βOn Time Performanceβ with experience of working under your own initiative and to tight timescales, as well as being a supportive and effective team worker.
