Key Accountabilities
To ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of the out-patient pharmacy services at the outpatient pharmacy for King’s College Hospital London, in accordance with national and local standards.
To provide leadership to and act as a role model for the support staff of KCH outpatient pharmacy.
To fulfil the statutory responsibilities as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and DoH.
To contribute to the development of a high quality and timely outpatient service for patients.
To develop an effective working relationships with prescribers.
To contribute to the development of appropriate additional clinical or patient centred services.
To contribute to the optimisation and development of the overall profitability of the business.
To contribute to the efficient management and administration of the business
Work collaboratively and supportively with the Superintendent Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.
To work collaboratively and co-operatively with the pharmacy manger and other pharmacists in order to avoid or minimise the use of locum pharmacists.
To work closely and collaboratively with specialist clinical pharmacists and service leads to deliver high standards of medicines management and optimisation for the benefit of patients, carers, and medical and nursing staff.
