What experience/qualifications do I need?

To be a success you will be eager to learn and have the ability to deliver vital care and support to those in need. All relevant training and support will often be provided by your employer to support your development and start your career journey in care. If you are interested, most employers offer you the opportunity to study towards social care qualifications such as Apprenticeships, Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care once you have started in the role.

We operate 24/7 and can therefore consider availability for a variety of hours and times, though you must be willing to work a minimum of alternate weekends, and a range of morning and afternoon shifts.

The post-holder will support our North Yorkshire residents who are most at risk of serious illness from COVID-19 and therefore has a professional responsibility to preserve safety and to take all reasonable precautions necessary to avoid any potential health risks to themselves or others. It is highly desirable for successful candidates to have completed (or be willing to complete) a full course of COVID vaccination.
