Medserv was established by Cormac Loughrey in 2005 and has rapidly grown to become the largest company specialising in medical billing in the UK & Ireland. Medserv UK was established in 2010 and initially was run from the Irish Office. In 2014 the first UK based office was opened. Due to massive growth in the first 3 years we moved to a larger UK office in 2017 where we are now based in Haywards Heath.
Whatβs the opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Medical Billing Specialist to join our Invoice Resolutions Team. Our ideal applicant is a self-starter, who is eager to learn and can work off their own initiative. Good communication skills are also a bonus - we here at Medserv are firm believers in open communication being a key to success!
What will I be doing
With our core values of Quality, Innovation, Integrity & Excellence in mind, the employee will be responsible for primary duties & responsibilities which include:
Β· Managing a high volume of incoming calls from external entities including patients, clients/secretaries, Hospitals and Insurers. Maintaining high level of professionalism, providing precise and accurate information or instruction on further proceedings
Β· Contacting insurers and hospitals and on a daily basis to access updates on outstanding claims and to establish why claims have not been paid/submitted
Β· Working through lists of unpaid accounts and updating each account with a relevant contact
Β· Liaising with members of internal teams in order to resolve issues
Β· Working through clientsβ outstanding accounts, identifying major problems affecting the payment of claims and liaising with clients/secretaries directly in order to resolve these issues
Β· Providing reports on outstanding accounts to clients at their request
Β· Work to monthly and quarterly targets to get all accounts processed accurately and in a timely manner.
