My Detectives t/a MD Security is a leading, bespoke and premium supplier of security officers, door supervisors and close protection officers. We aim to be the number one provider of premium security in the country. Our services are for upmarket clients within the North West - although we are undertaking rapid expansion. Our coverage includes Greater Manchester and beyond.
About The Role
We are seeking high-quality, experienced and capable security officers for a retail store in Oldham, Greater Manchester - with start dates expected IMMEDIATELY for the right candidate. THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WORKING 8 HOUR SHIFTS 2-4 DAYS PER WEEK. Successful applicants must be confident in deterring; apprehending; and detaining shoplifters. Applicants should display a positive attitude, be confident managing conflict in a professional manner and exercising powers of arrest in relation to retail crime. Experience in a similar role is desirable.
Essential Criteria
> A valid, in-date and verifiable SIA Security Guarding, Door Supervisor or Close Protection License

Desirable Criteria
> Own transport
> Knowledge of relevant legislation including common law powers (where preventing a breach of the peace); section 3 Criminal Law Act 1967; and section 24A PACE 1984 (where arresting shoplifters).
> Previous experience within the security industry and apprehending shoplifters
> Commercial awareness
> Ability to interact and engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds
