We are in a unique position to enhance and expand the Rocket Lawyer platform to a scale never seen before in the company’s history, to capture audiences worldwide. We are expanding our team to take on this challenge!
About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic intern to join one of our RocketLawyer teams. You will join and be an active member of the team, responsible for writing high quality tested code, delivering benefits to our customers.
You will learn how an effective cross-functional engineering team operates, participating in Agile scrum ceremonies and experiencing the full software development lifecycle. This could be participating in technical design discussions, doing code review or triggering builds on our continuous deployment pipelines. We are hiring two summer interns, one specializing in mobile and one specializing in backend.
The internship will run for 10 weeks starting in June 2023, you’ll be expected to work 37.5 hours per week. You can work from our office in Shoreditch, London or work remotely. The team you’ll be working with is remote, based globally.
A day in the life:
- The projects you will work on will be determined by our roadmap and be directly impactful to the team’s objectives. You will develop code that will eventually be in production
- Participate in agile dev meetings (5-10% of your time)
- Design sessions, team collaboration, code reviews (~5-10% of your time)
- Software development (80-90% of your time)
- Participate in other RL or engineering meetings (
