Position Overview & Specifications
The candidate will require a flexible approach to work be able to work under pressure and multitask to meet deadlines. The candidate will be responsible for managing their own workload and reporting updates to the Service Managers.
To support the Ophthalmology service group in respect of day-to-day robust rota management for the medical staffing teams by providing electronic timetabled rota templates to the sub-specialties in a timely manner and informing the relevant personnel of any changes.
To work with the Clinical Director, Trainee lead and subspeciality leads to ensure that staff utilisation on rotas is effective i.e., via the use of internal swaps, effective prospective cover arrangements and the management of all forms of leave.
To contact relevant staff and bank workers as required to fill gaps in the on-call rotas keeping rota leads and management appraised of progress.
