Position Overview & Specifications
Chancet wood is a Residential short breaks home for children with physical and multiple disabilities aged 5 to 18 years old. We offer short breaks to around 20 families’ city wide. We are looking for a dynamic, friendly, outgoing person to join our Domestic team for 30 hours per week worked over 5 days. The hours worked will be between 9am and 6.30pm on a flexible rota.
Duties will include cleaning communal areas, bedrooms, kitchen, annex building, sensory room, undertaking laundry duties and washing pots. Additional tasks may be delegated on a day-to-day basis. Some bank holiday working is required and the occasional weekend if required. Knowledge of health and safety issues and the safe storage and use of chemicals is desirable. Duties may also include covering at busy times in the main to help wash up and clean the kitchen.
Although there is no direct work with children, we are looking for someone who enjoys working and interacting with children and young people.
