Location: St Thomas More Catholic Primary School, Thorndale Road, Durham DH1 2AQ
Grade: MPS – UPS (£28,000 - £43,685 per annum)
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
St Thomas More Primary School is an outstanding primary school serving the thriving Parish of Durham Martyrs. We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, a family of secondary, middle, primary and first schools in Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland and Sunderland. Bishop Wilkinson is the largest catholic education trust in the North East of England, which will have a total of 48 schools by the summer of 2022. Applications are invited from practitioners who are practising Catholic or willing to support the ethos and practices of our Catholic school. They will have the highest expectations for all children with an understanding of how to ensure outstanding progress, whilst inspiring and engaging all children creatively in the learning process. They will be committed to developing our team and maintaining effective relationships within the parish and in our wider school community. They will be willing to participate fully in the curricular and co-curricular life of the school and aspire to excel professionally. This role is not suitable for an Early Qualified Teacher.

The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working in school with children of primary school age
- Experience of using a range of effective teaching and learning styles.
- The ability to engage and motivate children to learn effectively
- The ability to communicate clearly in a range of contexts and contribute to team meetings
