Underwriting Associate International Business (80% - 100%)

About the role

This is an opportunity to join an operational team to support international insurance programmes. This role, based in the UK, works both internally and externally with a range of teams, to understand the client's international insurance requirements and successfully implement a solution that meets the insured, insurer and regulatory requirements.

• To support the Underwriting Analysts with all matters concerning the end to end process for international insurance programmes
• Supporting timely processing of instructions into our Global Network, so that premiums can be debited and policies issued promptly, ensuring accurate policy records are maintained on Swiss Re Corso systems.
• Communicating with colleagues worldwide to achieve policy issuance in different countries
• Issuing documents (binders, policies, endorsements and certificates) to our brokers and customers
• Supporting with the preparation for client and / or broker stewardship or new business meetings by providing an overview of Swiss Ro Corso global servicing capabilities
• Owning status reporting for key performance indicators such as local policy issuance and premium collection

• Ensure that all handled programs are implemented to agreed service standards and corporate guidelines.
• Compile, sort, review and verify data accuracy using source documents, detect errors, and initiate correction while following-up with customer or process owner regarding any inconsistencies found
• Be involved in work allocation, knowledge sharing, and issue resolution

About You

• Knowledge and understanding of Insurance programmes and the role of Operations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• The ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate and monitor personal work
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Profound computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office

• Actively contributing to the team spirit and ability to build and maintain effective working relations with people in a multicultural environment
• A highly motivated individual with ability to work independently and proactively
• Accountable to deliver timely and accurate business processing also during peak times
• Able to adapt to fast growth, change and demand

In EMEA Operations we provide support to the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (CorSo) Underwriting Teams in handling insurance and reinsurance business for corporations and/or their captives.

You will be joining the UK Operations team, having a variety of proficiencies, skills and experience, all committed to bring success to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. In the role of Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with the EMEA Operations teams in centralized and offshore locations as well as your peers in other EMEA locations.
