The Role

As a Royal British Legion Employee Relations Advisor, your ability to lead on Employee relations case work, provide and deliver an exceptional service through advice, coaching, and implement solutions aligned to RBL strategy, could have a real impact on our people’s lives.

At its heart, RBL is a people organisation. People who want to do the very best for others, while at the same time making the most of the opportunities and experiences, we offer them.

We exist to hold the Armed Forces community to live fulfilling lives during and after service, and we lead Remembrance on behalf of the nation.

As our Employee Relations Advisor, you will assist the People Managers across RBL, in maintaining effective working relationships and getting the best out of their teams.

Having experience of using data to drive organisational improvement and knowledge of ER policies and legislation is key. If you have experience of writing, developing, and providing coaching sessions, this is advantageous but not essential.

Some of your key focuses;

  • Deal with employee relations cases, such as disciplinary, OH reports, D&I matters, grievances and appeals according to best practice, providing high quality written outcomes within SLAs
  • Improve, implement, and administer human resources policies and procedures
  • Support the organisation through restructures and change; use metrics to identify trends, working with the wider People Team to identify suitable interventions

Please note we offer a compressed working pattern, which includes every other Friday off, giving you some time out to do as you please on these days..

Give your days meaning. Put your passion into a role with real impact! As an inclusive employer, we welcome conversations on flexible working and any reasonable adjustments that may be required.

Diversity Statement

We believe that the compassion, understanding and service we show each, and every individual customer should be reflected in the way we all support, respect, and include every individual who works with us.

It’s because of this that we have strived hard to create a One Legion culture that we can all feel part of and succeed in. We make sure that you have the opportunities you need to learn and develop and we’re invested in making RBL a truly inclusive place to work. Where everyone can be themselves. It’s why you’re welcome, whoever you are.

It’s why we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
